Do you know what this dish is?!

Question:

Do you know what this dish is?

Before she retired, there was a lady who made a dish that contained eggs, sauages and cheese. She told me the dish is usually served at brunch. And the dish requires almost a dozen of eggs. Do you have any idea what it is and where can I find a receipe..

P.S. It was almost like a cassrole...but the main ingredients were eggs, cheese and sausages..

sausage and cheese omelette ?

perhaps it was a quiche?

I believe you're talking about quiche. Sometimes it's made with a crust like pie.

probably keish

Breakfast at Tiffany's.

It sounds like a breakfast casserole: dozen eggs, 10 sausage links, 2 cups shredded cheese, and some put in crumbled bread. Butter the pan, bake at 350F for 45 minutes.

Don't know the name but yes those are the main ingredients also some bread tore up in chunks on the bottom then your cooked sausage and cheese on top and eggs just throw it together bake at 350 for about an hour!!!

It was probally what is called a stratta. The dish also has a good deal of bread in it. try going to ............foodnetwork.com and type in stratta under search and a few different receipes sould come up. the ingredients should read as eggs, , half and half, cheese, sauage, Italian spice, I am jsut not sure about the amounts. I think you get the best results if you let the entire mixture set in the fridge over-night, before baking.

Quiche!

I make it all the time!

You dice the (cooked) sauages and various cheeses slightly smaller than bite size, and add beaten up eggs a little flour, grease the cassrole bowl, set it in the oven at about 300 degrees for approximately 45 minutes until a light brown film forms on the top of the ingredients..

You can add all sorts of veggies to this! Broccoli, Zucchini, Red &/or Green Peppers, etc - as well as pieces of Bacon, Pork, Chicken, etc.

Enjoy!

It sort of sounds like this breakfast casserole that my Uncle makes. It has eggs, sausages, cheese, bell peppers, onion. Basically sort of like an omelete casserole.

it is a quiche....mostly eggs; grated cheddar cheese; cooked crumbled pork sausage; black pepper & salt; about a third cup of cream or milk and a heaping tablespoon of flour or "Bisquick". Cook it in the oven until light and fluffy.

Google "breakfast quiche" and you'll probably find a ton of recipes.

Sausage ,Egg and cheese Omelet.some people tend to add other types of meat as well .Its almost like making a pizza in the sense of adding your own ingredients.

It sounds like it could maybe be a frittata to me....stratta, frittata, quiche....they are all very similar. I agree about Food Network though...just type in Egg Recipes and search....should help you find it....Lots of luck!

Yeah it sounds like a quiche.....there are many ways to make a quiche....thats the beauty of them, you can make them with anything but eggs are the main ingredient.

i guess this is a quiche

like someone said sounds like a omlete or quiche

Sounds like a frittata. This is a large omelet with eggs, cheese and other additions such as potatoes and sausages. Check out the foodnetwork. com for recipes.
