Question:

Do you put butter in making hamburger patties?

Answers:
No.

Eggs, crackers, hamburger, barbecue sauce.

sometimes

Good grief isn't chopped meat fatty enough??? So that would be a no lol. I have added a good variety of ingredients, beyond the typical meatloaf, but I would never add any more fat of any kind. There's more than plenty in there already!!! And seasonings and/or other ingredients should add ample flavors.

No.

If you are using regular ground beef, then absolutely not, but if you are using something like ground sirloin with very little fat, than you may want to add a little oil or spray the pan with some Pam but not butter though.

No. I use 80/20 and only season (salt pepper or McCormicks Broiled Steak) No eggs, No crackers, etc. Its not meat loaf.
Add some cheese, LTM bacon... yum

I've never heard of putting butter in hamburger patties. I would think it would make the patties greasy plus they'd burn easier. My favourite recipe for patties is to add onion soup mix and an egg to the hamburger. You could also use chopped onion and bbq sauce.

no

simple shape ground beef into a patty.

if t is good meat then nop additives required

Right...ground sirloin needs it. Butter will crisp up the surface of any meat. Brush it on hotdogs, bratwurst, chicken. You will not be adding that much fat. You're looking for a way to add color and texture without overcooking or charring.
