"How's the General Tso's chicken, honey?"

"Mmm, good. By they way, have you seen Sparky lately?"

Answers:
ok now in the US there are law against use of domestic pets for food IE(cats, dogs) but now farm types are ok if they have been tested by the USDA in the area and have had all records from vets and so on....

Now I was in Korea and there the KA GO GIE ((DOG K9)) <-(spelling may not be correct) is farmed for food. They have an USDA type of agency that test and regulates the same way as the US for farm raised animals. I am sorry there it is like raising cattle for food.

OK, now as I said for restaurants in the US. No it would get the restaurants in very large trouble with the local and state health boards.

I Lived in Korea for 1yr with the US Army stationed in soul. This information was told to me by a KATUSA ((Korean: ???) stands for Korean Augmentation To the United States Army. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/katusa))... Lee was from a farming type of family.(http://www.kimsoft.com/1997/eat-dog.htm...

dude, u watch too many tv shows. no asian restuarants use household pets. if they do use cats or dogs, it is illegal and if they get cought, they will have to pay a fine. to give u a heads up, it is very rude if u go to an asian resturaunt and ask if they serve/use dogs or cats. its an insult to the resturaunt and to their country.

i think thats just an urban myth. BUT its more probable to assume that some places use cheap food service distributors, old vegs and "fluff" up their meats by soaking in cornstarch and water overnight.
Just go to good places that are reputable and look really clean

While many Asian cultures do use small animals in their foods, it can't be done in the U.S. Restaurants here are inspected and that would be a reason to shut them down, so taking the risk is not worth it. By the way, think of how offensive our burgers are to Hindu's.

I think they cook with woks and chopsticks really
