How long can you keep a sushi grade tuna steak from the grocery store?!

Question:

How long can you keep a sushi grade tuna steak from the grocery store?

Answers:
about 48 hours

I wouldn't use it after the 2nd day after bringing it home.

as long as you keep it penned up it will never escape and go back to the store. If you mean how long will it be good to eat. If it were very fresh when you got it and kept it in a sealed container and very cold. about 5 days. After that it will start to break down and not be so good. in many ways.

Ideally you should use it the same day if you're making sushi. To eat it raw, I wouldn't leave it more than 12 hours. After that, you better cook it up! If you're cooking it, 48 hours.
