Good recipe for roast beef rub?????

Answers:
A lite rub of olive oil, then plenty of fresh ground pepper & a sprinkle of kosher salt.......Too many spices & you can't enjoy the flavor of the meat.

Source(s):
Southern girl!

tandoori and extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon dried marjoram
1 tablespoon dried basil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Combine all seasonings.
Store in a covered container.
Rub over meat before roasting.
This will season a 3-4 pound roast.

go to arby's. they rox my sox.

Penzeys spices have a great rub called Northwoods seasoning, smoky, hint of spice... yum!

2-3 Tbsp garlic salt (if you use powder, then you must add salt to this)
1/4 c. crushed dried sweet basil
2 Tbsp grounded coarse black pepper
2-3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp worchestershire sauce
1 Tbsp EVOO

Mix together. Really work this into the meat (that is rub means rub... like a back massage) with this.. not just sprinkle. This is for a 3-4 lb roast. Multiply recipe for larger roasts.

1 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp each fresh ground pepper, granulated garlic and rosemary
1 tsp onion powder

Rub the roast down with 1 tbsp olive oil then sprinkle rub on.
