Can you "fry" boneless chicken breast on a George Forman Grill???!

Question:

Can you "fry" boneless chicken breast on a George Forman Grill???

I know it's a grill, but I want a coating on the chicken and wonder if anyone has done this.

Answers:
You can certainly use a marinade on a Forman. You will need to baste it several times. Also sugary marinades such as some barbeque sauces may carmelize because you have such a large surface on the hot hot grill, as opposed to a normal grill. This can harden and make it somewhat hard to eat, so you are better off flipping often.

Yes you can fry boneless chicken breast on the George Foreman grill. Just make sure that the grill is oiled well prior to beginning, and if you are frying more than one batch just add more oil to the grill so that you can attain a good brown crust on your chicken.

I would not recomend it. Those grills are for grilling and not frying. To fry, you need to submerge your chicken in oil.

It was done all the time at a restaurant I worked at. You can't use regular flour but try crushed corn chips instead. Is it the flat grill or the one with the ridges in it? It probably won't work with the ridged one. But coat the chicken with a sauce that's not too sugary and cover it in the crushed corn or tortilla chips. Tastes good when done right!
