What can I use as a substitute for Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing?!
What can I use as a substitute for Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing?
My husband doesn't like it and it calls for it in so many new pork recepies I have. What is something similiar that I could use in place of it? The most it calls for in one of them is like 1/2 cup, but mostly 2-4 tsp is all. Please give me some ideas as to what I could use in place. I'm baking pork chops mostly.
Thanks

Porc chops are delicious with cream of mushroom soup. If you like sweet and sour, mix half a cup of apricot jam with 1 tablespoon of mustard and pour it over the chops. That tastes really good with chicken, also.
Oil and vinegar mix
try a little dry onion soup mix and a little brown sugar.
Any brand Italian dressing will work, or you can make your own.
1 part vinegar (usually red wine or cider vinegar)
2 parts oil (usually olive oil)
salt and pepper
whisk or shake to emulsify.
for "zest" add some fresh crushed garlic, lemon zest or even super fine chopped red bell pepper.
Try a red wine vinegrette instead. It's a little bit sweeter. Tastes great on beef or chicken also.
