Can you marinade chicken breast in a baggie and freeze it?!

Question:

Can you marinade chicken breast in a baggie and freeze it?

I usually use lemon or teriaki to marinade.

Answers:
Yes you can, but you also have to keep some stuff in mind.

1. Make sure that the baggie is closed and does not have air in it.
2. Make sure you dont keep the chicken out for too long before you put it in the bag (that provides a nice house for the bacterias)
3. Its not a good idea to freeze something for more that 2 weeks (some people dissagree). It does not taste as good and smells a little funny.
4. a hygenic idea it to clean the outside of the baggie after you close it.

Have funnnn

Yes.

sure you can, i do it, and i also do this with my burgers.

What I do is to put a frozen chicken breast into a baggie with my chosen marinade, then allow the chicken to thaw overnight in the marinade. To make sure there are no leaks all over the refrigerator I put the bagged chicken on a plate.

This is one of my favorite things to do. I buy meats (not just chicken!) in large bulk quantities, divide it into meal quantities in different freezer bags, and put the marinade in the bag with the meat. I throw them directly into the freezer, and they do their marinating as they are thawing in the fridge. Saves a ton of time and effort. You can use losts of different marinades, too; I've yet to find something that didn't freeze and thaw well.

I wouldn't freeze the chicken with marinade on it unless you are going to eat within 3 days.Lemon tends to cook the meat,so be careful....
