Try making these Southwestern Sloppy Joes thye will go great with your corn on the cob.
Sloppy José Wraps

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 medium celery stalks, cut into 1/4-inch dice
1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch dice
2 garlic cloves, crushed with garlic press
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pound lean ground beef
1 can (28 ounces) tomatoes in puree
6 (10- inch) flour tortillas, warmed
6 cups thinly sliced iceberg lettuce (1/2 small head)

1. In nonstick 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat until hot. Add celery and onion, and cook until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in garlic, chili powder, brown sugar, and salt; cook 2 minutes longer, stirring often.

2. Increase heat to medium-high. Stir in ground beef, breaking up meat with side of spoon, and cook 8 to 10 minutes, until browned, stirring occasionally. Add tomatoes with their puree, breaking up tomatoes with side of spoon, and cook, uncovered, 10 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.

3. To serve, spoon about 3/4 cup beef mixture on 1 warmed tortilla; top with about 1 cup lettuce and roll up.

Serves: 6

if you have buns you could throw together some ground beef and mix in some seasonings and make some hamburger patties to throw on the grill, simple enough. you could also put the corn on the cob on the grill as well.

use regular bread if you don't have buns.

Hamburgers & corn on the cob. If you don't have buns, you can chop the patties & make a big entree salad. You coild even make the cobb pieces smaller (2") & throw them on as well. Add a dash of steak sauce to ranch dressing for some extra zing.

i like hubsnkis idea. if the weather is nice grill out. that is simple, easyclean up and tastes good. for a second side, thinly silce onions and slice up some potatoes (a little thicker than the onion) take some aluminum about a foot long apiece, and divide the potatoe/onion mixture between them. top with a pat of butter, and pepper to taste. fold up packets tightly. grill turn every 15 mins for about 45 mins to a hour or until tender

This recipe would go well with corn on the cob.

Easy Meat Pie

1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1-1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup biscuit/baking mix

DIRECTIONS

In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Press into an ungreased 9-in. pie plate. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and cheese. In a bowl, combine the eggs, milk and biscuit mix just until combined. Pour over cheese. Bake at 400° for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Makes 4 servings

grill them

How about chilli? Fry off some onions and garlic (optional), add the beef and fry until browned. Add mixed herbs, some chilli powder or chopped fresh chili, tomato puree, a can of tomatoes and a can of kidney beans or baked beans.

Serve in a bowl with chunks of bread or on top of a baked potato, with the corn on the cob as a side. Grated cheese is an optional extra.

Hope this helps!
