How do I measure 2-3 oz of chicken breast without a scale?!

Question:

How do I measure 2-3 oz of chicken breast without a scale?

I am about to start a diet which tells me to eat between 2-3oz. of chicken and turkey breast, but how do I know I am eating the correct amount if I don't have a scale? Can I have the butcher at my local market do it, or is that too much to ask? Please help!!

Answers:
By all means ask the butcher to do it, it's easy enough for him, he's got a scale sitting right in front of him.

A 3 oz. portion of meat is about the size of a deck of cards.

It should look like the size of a deck of cards.

For example, if you buy a half-pound, that's 8 oz, so that can be divided into 3rds and you'd presumable have about 2.5 oz in each serving.

figure a piece of chicken should fit in your palm

anymore and it's too much.

equals about 1/3 cup of meat.
