Best stromboli recipe?!

Question:

Best stromboli recipe?

I love stromboli or calzone without ricotta.
What is the best way to cook one like the restaurants?
I would take the tme to make my own dough and would use meats and green peppers and onions as fillings. Temp? time? etc...
Thanks:)

Answers:
my mom makes an AMAZING stromboli. She takes pie dough that you can get in the refridgerated section and she rolls that out, and adds some spinach and ricotta and mozzarella and garlic. Just roll it up and bake at 350 until its goldne brown.

It is my favorite thing to eat during the holidays , cold or hot. Yummmmm whatever you do, put spinach in it! lol

This first one is a regular stromboli recipe and I've also included some different types of stromboli:
STROMBOLI

2 c. flour
2 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. warm water

Mix flour, oil, sugar, and salt. Combine water and yeast. Gradually add water and yeast to flour mix. Blend well. Knead 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle a little flour in bowl; put dough in bowl. Cover and let rise in warm oven until double in size.

STROMBOLI FILLING:

1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb. Provolone cheese
1/4 lb. American cheese
1/4 lb. hard salami
1/2 lb. ham
1/2 lb. pepperoni

You can substitute other cheese and meat. Roll dough to 1/4 - 1/8 inch thick. Spread small amount of mustard on dough. Alternate layers of cheese and layers of meat on 1/3 of dough. Roll tight, starting with meat end. Seal edges. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 or 45 minutes. Serve with pizza sauce.

DELI STROMBOLI

2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
1 pkg. rapid-rising dry yeast
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. very warm water
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. honey
Cornmeal
1/4 lb. sliced Provolone cheese
1/8 lb. sliced pepperoni
1/8 lb. sliced salami
Any other pizza - stromboli toppings: sauce, Mozzarella cheese, peppers, etc.

1. In bowl, combine 2 cups flour, the yeast and salt. Combine water, oil and honey; stir into flour mixture until soft dough forms.
2. Turn dough onto floured surface. Knead dough, add remaining flour until dough is very elastic, 10 to 15 minutes.

3. Place dough in an oiled mixing bowl. Turn to bring oiled side up. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double in size, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

4. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Dust cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with cornmeal. Roll out dough to 18 x 12 inch rectangle. Spread ingredients over dough, leaving 1/2 inch border on each side. Starting at one short edge, roll up dough. Secure ends. Place roll, seam side down on pan.

5. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
