OVEN BEEF STEW
2 pounds beef stew cubes
1 (32 ounce) can tomato juice or V-8 cocktail
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, sliced
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1 beef bouillon cube (optional)
3 or 4 carrots, sliced
4 or 5 potatoes, cubed
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 250° F.
In a casserole dish, blend salt and pepper, sugar (optional), oregano, flour and one crushed beef bouillon cube (optional).
Stir in tomato juice, mixing well to combine. Add remaining ingredients.
Cover and bake about four hours.
If using a slow cooker, which also works well for this dish, set your timer for six to eight hours on the medium setting.

SHRIMP SCAMPI
24 lg. uncooked shrimp (peeled, deveined, leaving tails on)
4 lg. garlic cloves, finely minced
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. olive oil
1 c. white wine
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
Lemon wedges
bread crumbs
In a skillet, saute a few spoons of bread crumbs, parsley and garlic until lightly browned. (Add garlic after a few moments so that it doesn't get brown.)
Add shrimp, marinade and juice from a couple of lemon wedges and cook until shrimp are pink (a few minutes) and juices in pan are bubbling hot.
Serve shrimp with scampi sauce for dipping, and garnish with lemon wedges.

BARBECUED TURKEY DRUM STICKS
1 med. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. oil
1 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
1/3 c. brown sugar (packed)
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. prepared mustard
3 to 4 turkey drumsticks
Place turkey drumsticks in crock pot. Saute onion and garlic in oil, in saucepan until tender. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Pour over turkey in crockpot. Cook on low 5 to 7 minutes.

Macaroni and Cheese, follow the instructions. then you can add in some ham, onion,sweet pepper, white pepper, chopped tomato, ketchup, grated cheese and mustard.Put it in a pan, sprinkle some cheese on it and few bread crumbs, then put it in the oven to bake. There you have macaroni pie

Graham Cracker Crust
Reg. Size fav Jello Gelatin
8 Oz. Cool Whip
8 Oz. Cream Cheese
Add any favs like fruit or crumbled cookies.(optional)
Add 1/2 cup boiling water to jello, stir 'til jello is dissolved. Beat cream cheese into dissolved jello until mixed. Fold in cool whip & any extras until well blended. Pour into crust & refrigerate for a couple of hours. If on a diet it also works with fat free or sugar free ingredients.
It only takes 10-15 min. before ready for the fridge & I alway get raves. I've even used the jello margarita flavor with chopped strawberries and/or strawberry cool whip. It's so good it's almost sinful.

Cheeseburger Macaroni
1 pound of hamburger
1/4 c. chopped onion (optional)
1/3 c. ketchup
1 1/2 c. water
1 pkg Velveeta Shells and Cheese Dinner
1. Brown hamburger with onion (optional) in large skillet; drain
2. Place hamburger in skillet, stir in 1 1/2 c. water, ketchup, and shell macaroni.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low; cover. Simmer 10-12 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
3. Add velveeta cheese sauce; stir until melted.
Stove top Easy Cheesy Chicken Bake
1 pkg (6oz) Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken
3 cups chicken chunks (i have used less)
1 (14 oz) frozen broccoli florets, thawed, drained
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 400'. Prepare stuffing mix as directed on pkg; set aside.
Mix chicken and broccoli in baking dish. Stir in soup, milk and cheese; top with the prepared stuffing.
Bake 30 minutes or until cooked through
Hamburger Pie
1# ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2- 16oz cut green beans, drained
1- 10 3/4 oz condensed tomato soup
1/4c. of water
salt and pepper to taste
3 med potatoes, peeled and quatered
1 beaten egg
milk
1/2 c. shredded chedder cheese
Cook hamburger and onion till meat is browned and onion is tender; drain off grease.
Stir in beans, soup, water and season with salt and pepper.
Place mixture in a pan.
Cook potatoes in salted boiling water about 20 min or until tender; drain. mash while hot; stir in egg. Add enough milk to make potatoes fluffy, yet stiff enough to hold their shape. Season with salt and pepper.
spread potatoes on top of meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

Saturday Chicken
5 servings
10 chicken legs (or whatever you prefer)
(you dont have to use that many chicken pieces. Use how many pieces you want. the rest of the recipe stays the same.)
1 can condensed cream of mushroom (or cream of chicken)
1 cup of cream (dont cheat and use milk; the cream makes a lot of difference)(i have cheated and used milk lol, its still good but the cream does make a difference)
salt, garlic powder, and paprika- to taste
chopped parsley
Season chicken with salt, garlic, and paprika. Next, spread it out, in one layer baking pan. Dilute the soup with the cream; pour it over the chicken, and sprinkle parsley on top.
Bake , uncovered, at 350' for 1 hour or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with fork.
Makes a delicious gravy. Serve with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles or rice.
Broccoli Chicken Casserole
2-3 boiled chicken breasts, diced into small chunks
(just boil the chicken for at least 10-15 minutes or until no longer pink)
Cool and then cut into chunks
1 pkg broccoli
1 can of cream of chicken
Pepperidge Farm Stuffing
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
4 oz pkg mild cheddar cheese
Boiled the broccoli for 5 minutes, then drain. I was too afraid to put uncooked broccoli in the casserole, (thought i would ruin it).
Combine soup, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Mix with broccoli and diced chicken. Sprinkle with cheese and stuffing mix. Bake at 350' for 35 minutes :0}

place roast in roasting pan, place veggies around roast, mix soups and water and pour over roast and veggies. cook for about 1-2 hours, depending on size of roast. 400 degree oven. serve biscuits to sop up gravy... Can also cook this in a crock pot for 4-6 hours on low

Please, do yourself a big favor and go to a bookstore in your community that is big enough to have a reasonable cookbook section. Check out cookbooks like Betty Crocker, which is a great resource for beginners, and other general, all-purpose cookbooks. Buy the one that seems to suit your skill level best and then start cooking. You learn to cook by reading -- cookbooks! You'll be at gourmet level in no time. I promise.
