cilantro
jicama (really no clue here)
please describe and if u know the names in Spanish (they might be the same) that would be great...

Answers:
Cilantro (spanish name) is also known as coriander. It looks like Italian parsley but has a distinctive odor and taste that adds alot to certain dishes. Jicama (also Spanish name) is a large roundish root that has the crunchiness of a radish but is sweeter. Great in salads or as a crudite.

first answer is correct. have never used jicama but have used cilantro. If you do use it sparingly. a little goes a long way. Just a sprig or two is all you need in a bowl of salsa.

Cilantro-herb used in mexican dishes, looks alot like flat leaf parsley. and can be found in most produce aisles .with the green leafy stuff .
Jicama- (pronounced hick-ama) is a root vegetable used in mexican dishes.usually softball sized root the same coloring of a rutabaga.texture is crunchy /crisp eaten raw like radishes but sweeter in flavor. works well in salads and slaws.can be found in the produce close to the chilis ,jalopenos, other peppers.(in my store anyway.

cilantro is a kind of lettuce. I hate the flavor. I'm not sure what jicama is.

cilantro in spanish is cilantro. IT's a green herb I think. Anyways, it's fresh and I love it. There are a few of Peruvian dishes that use cilantro.
