I am tempted to try them myself.x
The ones with huge pearls in
Hmm...the Rolex Oyster will do very nicely, thank you.
Love them with a little cocktail sauce, a squeeze of lemon and a spot of hot sauce!
Sorry but ive never tried an oyster and i don't itnend to.I hate how the bit of jelly stuff that your ment to eat is coated with slime and wobbles in the shell!eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
They are off-season until September.
The travel oysters lol, its soo cheap to travel
I love oysters...raw, steamed, broiled, deep fried. Oyster stew, (recipe is on the 3 Diamond brand) I put them in stuffing..but I think my real favorite is on the half shell, with butter, bacon bits, and topped with cheddar or provolone cheese placed under the broiler until the cheese is browned....yumo....
I am not really a big fan. Not because of the taste, but just the concept. You are meant to just swallow without chewing which kind of defeats the object. All I taste then is the lemon and tabasco. Or if I don't use sauce all I taste is salty sea water.
I love oysters! (i also love samanthas comment! lol) I prefer them raw with a dash of tobasco and lemon, but they are great on the grill too! This is a fun way to do them!...
12 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 tablespoons minced parsley
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
24 oysters in their shells, washed
In a bowl combine all the ingredients except the oysters, and mix well. Adjust the seasoning to taste and transfer the mixture to a large piece of plastic wrap. Roll up the flavored butter to form a tight log and freeze. (Alternately, the flavored butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.)
Preheat a gas or charcoal grill. Remove the cold log of butter from the freezer and unwrap. Shuck the oysters and discard the top shell, leaving the oysters on the bottom half shell. Slice thin rounds of butter, about 1 1/2 teaspoons each, and place 1 round on top of each oyster. Place the oysters on the heated grill, close the grill cover, and cook, covered, until the butter is melted and bubbly, and the oysters are no longer opaque and have curled around the edges, about 4 minutes.
Serve immediately.
enjoy!!!
Yes, I do. I love them simply prepared in a stew of diced onion, sweated in some butter, add some sherry, let the alcohol cook out, add the oysters with their liquor, when they begin to curl on the edges, add a little bit of cream and it's a fresh oyster stew! Yum. I'd like to try a seviche of some sort with citrus juices if I ever get ambitious enough to shuck them myself.
I've only ever had them once and I'm not too sure which ones I had, but they were nice. But I'm not in a hurry to try them again
raw with a cracker, lemon, and cocktail sauce. chased with a beer. but remember NEVER in a month that ends with R
