A coconut icecream "helado de coco"?

ok in chicago on most spanish neighborhood they sell this helado de coco its real good and they scoop it out a of a bucket i take it these people make it themselves. anywho i wanted to know how to make it i lookedup some sites for helado de coco but im not 100 percent positive thats what it is can anyone help . I had some the other day from humboldt park and it was 1 dollar i dont wanna keep paying for it i wanna make it myself. thanks

HELADO DE COCO

INGREDIENTES PARA 8 PERSONAS

1 coco 1 litro de leche 200 gramos de azúcar en polvo 1 sobre de vainilla 6 huevos.

ELABORACION:

Se saca la cáscara del coco y se ralla éste a continuación. Se pone efi remojo durante una hora en un litro de leche caliente que contenga vainilla.

Seguidamente se pasa por un colador muy fino y se a?ade el azúcar.

Se agregan las seis yemas de huevo y se bate durante un buen rato.

Se coloca esta mezcla en una cubeta y se pone en el congelador durante una hora. Al cabo de este tiempo se saca del congelador, se vierte la mezcla en una fuente y se vuelve a batir otra vez. Se vuelve a colocar en el congelador repitiendo esta operación otra vez más. Se deja, por último, el helado durante tres horas en el congelador.

Este helado puede servirse solo, ya que el sabor de coco es delicioso.

maybe it's a secret recipe.. next time you buy carry it home and try to recognize its ingredients.. i think that's the best way you can do if you cant find it online..
