What do you marinade chicken in??!

Question:

What do you marinade chicken in??

Answers:
I've had great results with beer, champagne, white wine, dark (not spiced) rum, soy, and teriyaki. Throw a little (1/4 cup) peach or apricot preserves in any of those and you have a real winner. Marinate 30-60 minutes, depending on your tastes.

Lately, I've been experimenting off of the same basic mix, and everyone loves it so far. For each chicken breast (or similarly-sized portion of yard-bird) take one teaspoon each of salt and pepper, 1/4 teaspoon ginger, and one pinch of cumin all placed in a mortar and ground ultra fine with a pestle. Transfer the spices to a zip-lock, add 1/4 cup peach preserves and a tablespoon of olive oil. Mix VERY well. Throw in the chicken and marinate for an hour. Just bake, broil, or grill as normal after that. It's very flavorful and has just the slightest "kick."

Depends on the kind of cooking u r doing......if chinese then soy sauce, veniger n ginger mostly, if eastern then yogurt n ginger n garlic, if for a bar-b-q just plain soy sauce n pepper n salt - so wot r u cooking?.... u need to b specific to get specific answers!!! hope this helps in a way!!

teryaki most the time
or italian dressings good.
in a bowl anywhere from 30 minutes
to a few hours(refridgerated).

Italian dressing
Teriyaki sauce with a little white wine and ginger,
cajun seasoning

Well, it does some-what depend on what kind of chicken you are going for, but here are some ideas.

First, marinating in plain yogurt, over night, will result in very moist, delicious chicken (so I'm told).

Italian dressing is also very good. Try some other bottled, gourmet dressings, there are all kinds.

Juices, like pineapple, orange, and lemon, also make good marinades. You could also make your own marinade by adding your favorite herbs to some red wine vinegar, or to the plain yogurt, I'm sure.

But for a very easy marinade, once again, check out your salad dressing isle. Look for the gourmet, upper-scale kind, made with vinegars and oils, with all kind of spices and flavors.

Have fun!

Try mixing the Terryaki sauce with some pineapple juice and marinade them that way. Yummy, then grill the pineapples and serve. I just made this the other night and my family loved it. Used boneless skinless breasts.

Chicken breasts/legs/thighs
Margarita frozen concentrate, thawed
1/2 of concentrate can of Tequila
juice of 1 lime.
refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
bake 350 for one hour (plus/minus)

An unusual combination but everyone here has enjoyed it. I marinate in teriyaki sauce, and then sprinkle Italian seasoning, youch of pepper, small touch of garlic. on it bake at 350-375 for 30 minutes or so, sometimes I add a little Cheddar cheese and then garnish afterwords with some thin cut strips of red, yellow and orange thin sliced peppers, and serve with a flavored rice. (occasionally also wrap it in bacon)
