Icelandic recipes?!

Question:

Icelandic recipes?

my grandparents are having thiere 50th wedding anniversory and i want to make it extra special, thanks

Answers:
Well, most Icelandic food is either really more Scandinavin in origin or sorta taboo, as many dishes are left to cure by rotting, due to the high ammonia contents of the meat and only by curing is the fish (mostly) edible.
I did manage to find you a few sites that claim to have Icelandic Recipes.

http://www.iceland.is/history-and-cultur...

http://www.isholf.is/gullis/jo/index.htm...

www.inlofna.org/Recipes.pdf
(This one seemed to have more traditional sounding dishes)

www.recipezaar.com/recipes/ice...
(recipezaar is my favorite recipe website. I've never tried an Icelandic dish, but this site has never let me down either.)
Good Luck
