Champagne instead of white wine?!

Question:

Champagne instead of white wine?

I usually always have dry champagne around the house but rarely white wine. Can I use champagne instead of white wine when a recipe calls for white wine?

Answers:
I do it all the time.

Unsure about the champagne but I cook and I am under 21 and therefore cannot buy alcohol in the US. I substitute water or broth.

sure

Absolutely. If you are baking, be prepared for the dough to rise a bit more than usual. Otherwise, it's simply a matter of taste.
