How long to thaw a whole chicken in microwave?!

Question:

How long to thaw a whole chicken in microwave?

I'm in a bind...the whole fryer didn't thaw it's pretty much still frozen...can I use the micro for thawing it and if so how long? I only know the popcorn feature on the thing.
Or will tuna sandwiches for dinner be the call for the evening?

Answers:
How are you going to cook the chicken, if you're cooking it whole, I wouldn't even bother to finish thawing. Otherwise if you're cutting her up I would use the "defrost" button on your microwave but only a couple of minutes at a time, how long really depends on how frozen.
I think a tuna sandwich sounds Divine, have the chicken tomorrow if you don't know how to use your microwave.

Unless you want your guests to get sick, don't thaw in a micorwave, bacteria will be running rampant before you get it thawed. It would be better to bake it frozen, for an extended time and use a meat thermometer or cook it in boiling water until it's at least 165 Deg. all the way through.

Tunafish sandwiches are great, something you may not have considered... chill the tuna fish first. It keeps the tuna salad chilled and safe.
