Lemon is always good on fish and so is dillweed. There are some recipes below that should help you
CITRUS AND HERB-BROILED TROUT
4 (about 10 oz. each) whole sm. trout, cleaned (boned if desired)
4 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper
2 med. lemons, sliced
2 med. limes, sliced
1 bunch flat-leaf parsley
1/2 c. fresh tarragon sprigs or 1 tsp. dried tarragon
Yields 4 servings. Preparation and cooking time: 20 minutes.
Preheat broiler. Brush trout liberally inside and out with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Stuff cavities with 2 slices each of lemon and lime and several sprigs each of parsley and tarragon. (If using dried tarragon, sprinkle each with 1/4 teaspoon). Skewer cavity shut.
If using broiler, lay several lemon and lime slices and several parsley and fresh tarragon sprigs on rack in shallow broiler pan. Lay trout atop fruits and herbs.
Broil about 4 inches from heat for 4 minutes. Carefully turn fish with spatula and broil 4 to 5 additional minutes until skin is well browned and crisp and fish is just cooked through. Remove skewers and herbs and citrus from cavity of fish.
Lay fish on serving plates. Garnish lavishly with remaining parsley, tarragon and sliced fruits from cavity and from broiler pan.
Note: Fish can be cooked on grill. Omit broiling "bed" of sliced fruits and herbs. Instead, lay fruit slices and fresh herbs atop fish during last 4 to 5 minutes of broiling.

salt, pepper, old bay seasoning
the best thing that you can use is a little salt and pepper, a small amount of butter and some fresh chopped onions. a few minutes on each side, and it's great.
each time after you make it, try one new spice like dill, lemon pepper, garlic, etc each time you make it and find your favorite.
salt, pepper, garlic, lemon juice, parsley and olive oil. You can't make it wrong with fish
you can never go wrong with butter and garlic.
Trout is a great fish for broiling. It is a heavier meat than some of the whiter flakier fish and holds its texture and taste well. You can buy a lot of seasonings at the store that are specific for fish, dry rubs can work out very nicely too. If you are just going to do it yourself pick your favorite seasonings. You definitely want to include the standard salt and pepper, other than that you could use a little garlic, you could use a lemon pepper or lemon and herb seasoning which would taste nice, or something premixed like the fish seasonings or mrs dash. You could even do it with some dill and butter. That's why they say season to taste, because different people have different tastes as far as what they like their fish to taste like. Oregano and thyme would be good too.
all you need is salt and pepper
