Question:

I want to cook a pasta, what is the best way?

Answers:
Read the directions on the box. It includes boiling water and tossing the raw pasta in. Then wait till done(i usually take 1 out to try to make sure its done) then drain and top/mix with whatever you want. I like olive oil and garlic with mine.

Boil some water, stick it in. Every so often bite a piece to see if it is done to your taste. Then you can add anything you want. Garlic and butter, red sauce whatever ya want.

boil it on the stove use salt

bring water with a lil salt in , to a boil.
add whatever pasta you want (spagetti, rotini, macarroni pasta....stir ...bring to boil again..stirring occasionally.....take one piece of pasta out to taste the texture (if too hard, boil bit longer) then drain*~

Sauce- 1 lb ground beef, brown in frying pan, then drain...add to pot..dice up an onion and add to cooking ground beef, slice up some garlic, green pepper, add to pot...season with salt, pepper, parsley, basil, mix thoroughly*.add can or jar of your favourite pasta sauce..you can also add cooked sliced italian saucege or hot saucege......simmer on low., while boiling the pasta. If cooking Rotinni, or Macaronni shell pasta, you can add sauce to the drained pasta- becomes like a hamburger helper homemade style* Grate parmesan cheese ontop if you like* mix in bowl* serve with french loaf or garlic bread/toast* and a green garden salad~

The best way is to put it in a pot of boiling water, and stir from time to time until it returns to the boil, that will stop them sticking together.
DO NOT use oil as that will stop the sauce sticking to the pasta.
7-9 minutes is probably the recommended time but cook it to the way you like.
It will cook some more in the sauce.

First of all, what kind of pasta are you thinking of cooking.

Well, if you are cooking any kind of pasta, here are the steps that you should take.

1. Boil a pot of water (have to be at least 2 inches above the pasta).

2. When water boil, add salt. (Salt will let the pasta cook faster without losing the taste.)

3. Cook pasta according to the cooking directions. Which is about 3-4 minutes for most pasta.

4. Drain the pasta and mix with your favorite ingredients while both pasta and sauces are still hot.

5. Serve warm except if you are serving pasta salad.

Follow the directions ( to the letter) on the pkg. I would wish you good luck, but you don't need it when you follow directions.
