Does it matter whether you use canola oil or vegetable oil to make brownies?!

Question:

Does it matter whether you use canola oil or vegetable oil to make brownies?

Answers:
Canola oil is healthier. I have never been able to tell the difference health-wise.

Not in my experience. They both can do the trick. I cannot taste a difference.

canola oil is a bit healthier I've heard.

In my opinion the best brownies are made with butter or solid (not light or not whipped )margarine...oil tends to make a brownie burn easier...and has a different texture. I usually cream the butter and sugar then add eggs and other liquid then add the flour and choc. cocoa or melted unsweetened chocolate...the way you mix it makes a difference too...good luck...Mama Jazzy Geri

Canola oil is healthier since it doesn't have the trans fats that vegetable oil has. I cannot taste a difference between the two.

no, it does not make any difference. u should not even buy vegetable oil. Canola oil is a healthier choice becuz it has poly/monounsaturated fat and no saturated fat. U can use canola oil iin any recipe that calls for vegetable oil and you will get the same flavor, texture, color etc.
