Romantic dinner recipes, got any suggestions please?

Answers:
If you want a romantic dinner, then you don't want to be spending the whole night in the kitchen. I would keep it simple and easy, perhaps things you can prepare in advance or get some things that are already prepared. Keep it really light, so afterward you don't fall asleep from being full, rather from being tired ; ) Foods that are aphrodesiacs. And food that you can possibly feed each other.

For an appetizer try oysters on the half shell. If you like them raw serve them like that. I don't like them raw so I generally make some type of broiled oysters with butter, shallots, salt and pepper. Aphrodesiac! If you don't like oysters try figs wrapped in bacon. Figs are an aphrodesiac.

6 figs, halved
6 ounces goat cheese
1/2 cup toasted, chopped pecans
3 slices bacon, cut in half

Preheat the broiler.
Stuff fig halves with goat cheese. Press pecans into the cheese. Wrap each stuffed fig half with half a slice of bacon, securing with toothpicks.
Arrange on a medium baking sheet. Broil 5 minutes, or until bacon is evenly brown and crisp and goat cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

For dinner try some grilled or broiled lambchops. Coat them in mustard (aphrodesiac), minced garlic (aphrodesiac), salt and pepper. Serve this with an arugula salad (aphrodesiac), in the salad add strawberries, pine nuts and strawberries (all considered aphrodesiacs) with a vinegarette. Also some warm crust bread.

For dessert chocolate fondue. If you don't have a fondue pot, roast some pineapple in caramel sauce. If you have a shot of coconut rum toss that in at the last minute.

You are in luck. I put together a personal book, with sample menus, and several of them were for dinners for 2, and pretty easy. Here's the menu:

Appetizer: Shrimp cocktail
Entree: Parmesan baked salmon with pasta italiano
Dessert: Cherry chocolate icecream cups

Here are the recipes:

Shrimp cocktail:

You'll need:
1/4 pound cooked baby shrimp, deveined, etc
One 141/2 ounce can of diced, peeled tomatos in juice
4 green onions, diced
1 ripe avocado, peeled and diced
3/4 a teaspoon of hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon of salt

Directions: Stir together the shrimp and tomatos with juice in a small bowl. Add in the avocado. Season with the hot sauce and salt, and the sprinkle with green onion. Chill, and serve in stemmed wine glasses, with a lemon wedge for garnish.

Parmesan salmon:

You'll need:

Four 4 ounce salmon fillets, about 3/4 inch thick
1/4 cup light mayo
4 tablespoons grated parmesan
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions: Preheat oven to 450

Rinse thawed fish, pat dry. Grease a baking sheet, and arrange the fish on it. In a small bowl, mix together the mayo, cheese, chives, and lemon juice. Spread the mix over the fish, and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Pasta italiano:

You'll need:
1/2 pound egg noodles
1/4 cup EVOO (evtra virgin olive oil)
2 tablespoons of mixed fresh herbs, like sage, rosemary, and basil.
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
black pepper

Directions: Cook pasta according to pack, drain. Toss with EVOO and herbs. Top with cheese and pepper, and serve.

Cherry chocolate icecream cups:

You'll need:
cherry chocolate chip ice cream
Milk chocolate chips
cup cake wrappers
Candied cherries

Directions:

Heat the chocolate chips in the mic until they look glossy. This means they're melty. Just stir them up. Then cover the inside of a cupcake wrapper with the melted chocolate. Don't fill it, just put it in the bottom and sides. Freeze them until nice, cold, and firm. Then when you're ready for desert, peel away the paper, revealing a chocolate cup. Scoop a good sized scoop of cherry chocolate ice cream in each cup, and top with a cherry.

I also have a much easier and affordable, but still classy menu, if you would like.

Hope this helps!

My husband and I have a favorite dinner which we only have when the kids are at grandmas. We always eat at the dining room table so we change it up and have a picnic on the deck or living room floor. We have two simple things. Crab legs and fruit.

We warm up the precooked crab legs in boiling water and put them on one big platter. Melt butter for dipping.

For the fruit, we do strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, mango, apples-- alot of different fruit and dip it in a cream cheese fruit dip. I make mine but you can buy it in the produce section.

Enjoy!!!

Try this beer and cheese fondue. Nothing more romantic than dipping food into cheese and feeding eachother.

Super easy too.
