Hi Simon J
It depends what type of weight you want to put on. If its protein like to build your muscles then these whey protein concentrate and isolate drinks are really good, and you can use it in combination with eating eggs, and beef meat a lot. They whey drinks come as powders and you can drink them with milk.
If you just want to increase you size, then eat a lot of KFC as a start, lots of potatoes as in chips and wedges. Chocolate also helps a lot. You could also eat a lot of cakes, bread, pasta and cereal basically anything high in carbohydrates will allow you to put on weight.
Below is a typical recipe you could have in one day
Breakfast-Bacon and egg muffin, with potato cake or pancakes, Full cream Milk(high in protein and fat), maybe a glass of juice also with some fruits
Lunch-KFC 3 peice feed meal, upsize!! Chicken and chips, Lamb and chips, maybe even hamburgers
Afternoon snack- chocolate bar, Krispy Kreme donught
Dinner-pasta and mince meat
Please do this only for a while because these foods cannot be consumed like this for too long. To burn it all off in the near future exercise is really good, such as swimming or dancing as these uses your whole body.
Hope this helps
Good luck
cookies.
Gosh, I wish that was my problem. But I hear Mega-Man protein shakes help men gain weight. If there's a GNC nearby, try there but if not find a vitamin or health food store. They'll know how to guide you.
As far as recipes, lots of carbs and starchy foods. But if you go that way, it could raise your cholesterol and such.
eat loads and drink loads
Eat lots of granola, it is healthy and makes you gain weight.
OK are you ready...peanut butter and jelly sandwiches....3x snickers bar daily...lamb or steak with mash potatoes or chips....one glass of milk....3 eggs daily noodles and cheese...and pizza a glass of milk and some cheesecake before bed...doing this daily will add weight in no time. Just be careful (I had doctors around me to advise) you will gain 1.5 stone a month!!!!!
for a healthier option have 3 bananas and 3 glasses of milk daily!!!! within six months you will have added at least a 3/4 stone - 1 stone this is proven!
Go for serious calorie density... cheese, red meat, breads, cereals. These will make you gain weight. You should be careful to gain muscle instead of fat. Fat will only slow you down as will water retention from the high sodium content of many of these bulky foods. I think you should start lifting very heavy weights (low repititions) to build muscle weight.
Of course, the other option is to pig out on ice cream and donuts every night at around 9pm like I have been doing for the past month. I've put on 5 lbs! Wooo, hooo! No, seriously, I've gotta get this under control. What a bad, bad habit I have started all as a means of stress reduction. Strange, huh! The 5lbs and sugar addiction has caused me more stress than the original reason that I started noshing.
Good luck!
diet high in protein but good proteins as you don't want to block up your arteries and have a heart attack on the pitch.
Grilled chicken with simple spices like paprika, salt pepper while it is cooking not after as the flavour is lost, Schwartz do some really good shake on spices which are really tasty.
Sea food paella is another really easy and tasty one.
also egg fritters are brill easy and high in protein so filling and will bulk you up, try pan frying some spring onions gammon, bacon and tomatoes spinach, some herbs to season and set with beaten egg.
Home made macaroni cheese very bad for you but so good, milk different types of cheese (at least 1 herby one) hot sauce (yes hot sauce!!) just a little. mix cooked macaroni with a beaten egg (yes raw) then pour cheese sauce over and let set!! yum yum!! :- )
pizza and chips and coke
Well be sensible about things, don't go down the -sod it let me have another take-away/extra portion of chips kind of deal.
Loads of fresh veg, lean meat, eggs (no more than 6 a week) chicken and fish, pasta potatoes and rice, bread, have a good breakfast, oats, wholemeal toast, juice and you need to get some kind of Build-Up protein drink, you can get it from health food shops and it gives you all the vitamins and minerals etc you need. I used to eat four meals, snack on fruit and drink two of my mom's diet slim fast drinks, as they give you the calories without the fat I'm 6' 2', 42 chest, six-pac abs and weigh around 13 1/2 stone
I don't know if it actually puts on weight or not, but i'd always been told that something like spaghetti was goo the night befor ea big race/ match etc. because your body would break it down into energy and it would help your performance the next day.
I wouldnt try eating a bunch of crap to put on the pounds cuz they are hard to get back off and it's bad for you and you will lose on performance.
Perhaps checking witha dietician would be benificial?
just EAT!! ...hey, works for me!
Our son ate tons of peanut butter sandwiches during football Season (USA). They did a lot of weight lifting and he said the protein from the P.B. helped him bulk up along with the protein shakes and eggs.
Sandwiches, lots of sandwiches. Include high protein meats and cheeses, but that's what I ate before football season started. And if you're still hungry, have another sandwich. Try and stay away from the high-sodium junk food as this will sap your energy. Good luck.
I want to loose weight, why not come to my house and eat my dinner hahahahahah
Chocolate, its what all athletes eat after time off through injury to gain the weight they lost sitting around all day! true!
avacados and brazil nuts
If you work out and eat a diet rich in protein and whole-grain carbs, that should do it. A diet rich in fat is unhealthy.
