How to cook corn?!

Question:

How to cook corn?

Answers:
drop it in boiling water for 5-10 minutes.

put it in the microwave... haha just kidding, You gotta boil it, even if its on the cob or in kernels, it doesn't matter, boil it...

On the cob - in salted water and a little buter. Off the cob-in buter broth and spices

From a can? Empty into a pan, add butter and heat until warm...Fresh on the cob? Remove the husks and silks, wash, put in a large pot, cover with water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Let it stand in the pot for 5 more minutes. Enjoy.

What kind of corn? Canned or corn on the cob?

For corn on the cob take it out of the husk and clean it off and then put it in boiling water for a few minutes.

For canned corn, either heat it up on the stove or put it in a covered bowl in the microwave.

By boiling it or putting it in the oven or just grilling it.

There are several different ways you can cook corn.
You can grill it, boil it on the stove, boil it in the microwave, stew it(cream corn). How would you like to cook it and I can give you some details.

On the cob? Add a couple of teaspoons of sugar to the water, and boil it for 10-15 minutes...the sugar makes it nice and sweet. Frozen,,,in the microwave.

If you are making corn on the cob you can either grill or broil the corn. If you boil it add about 2 tbsp. of both sugar and salt to the water. If you grill it soak the corn the same way. If you boil you need about 5 - 7 minutes, if you grill give it about 10.

If you are speaking about frozen corn pop it in the mic with a little butter and salt for about 2 minutes. I also make frozen corn in a pan with a pat of butter, 1/4 cup milk and salt and pepper. The milk kind of covers it and gives it a nice sweet flavor.

boil a pot of water and once its boling place the corn on the cob in for 5 to 6 minutes and presto its done if its fozen corn , place how much u want in to a microwaveable bowl and put some butter on it microwave it for 3 to5 minutes depending on how much u have and presto its done

On the cob....put on grill medium flame (leave in husks) about 30 minutes. Yummmmm.

you can do loads with it microwave it ,booil it roast it bbq it

ROASTED CORN ON THE COB (Southern

Wash and dry whole shucked ears of corn. Rub with butter. Place in baking pan. Bake in oven 30 minutes on 350 degrees. Then turn oven on broil and cook until evenly browned all around by turning often. Do not let burn but taste best when has scorched look. Salt to taste and butter as desired.

It depends on what kind of corn you have, canned corn, creamed corn, corn on the cob, frozen corn. All excpet corn on the cob can be put in a pot and heated up on the stove top or in a microwave (with a microwavable bowl). Corn on the cob you can either put on the grill or you can put in a pot of boiling water for about 10 minutes or so depending on how big the corn is.

try on the grill, soak it in cold water for about 2 hours b4 you grill(leave in husk) place on grill on gas grill it will take close to an hour; charcoal grill should be no or little flame for around the same time. check with a fork for tenderness and butter and season soooo good!!!! Enjoy

BBQ in foil for close to an hour, comes out crisp.

Boil it in salted water.
For a deeper taste, if you have your corn in inside the husk, just roast them inside the husk at 400 degrees for 10- 12 minutes. Just make sure that before you put them in the oven add some butter, salt and pepper to the inside of the corn.
You can also grill them and they are delicious!

Corn on the cob husk it desilk it take seets of foil place butter corn salt, pepper, mesquite seasoning and just a little garlic, then wrap them all up and cook on the grill for about 10 to 15 min. make sure to rotate so as not to burn one side.

You can also leave the husks on soak them in a sink full of water for 30 min and then put them on the grill useing mesquite chips for a nice flavor.

This is my grandma's recipe & I've used it for years now.
After shucking the corn, and removing the kernals from the cob, bring corn to a boil on med. high heat.

While it's cooking take 1/4 cup of all purpose flour and add very little cold water to it, to make a paste. If you add too much water and it's runny, just add more flour. Mix this paste well, getting out as may lumps as possible. Set this aside.

Turn the heat down to med. & continue to cook uncovered for about an hour.

After an hour add about 1/4 cup milk to the corn, and slowly stir in the flour paste mixture until it starts to thicken. Be careful not to add too much. Watch the thickness as you add the paste.

Continue to cook for 1/2 hour or so, add salt to taste, and enjoy.

If your corn becomes too thick just add water; slowly, not to make it too runny again.

Good luck.

Umm, yes you can microwave corn on the cob. Take out some of the outer layers of husk *just make sure to leave on enough so the corn itself isnt exposed*. Place the ear/s on a paper towel in the microwave and nuke for 2 minutes. Rotate them so the bottom of the ear is on top and nuke for about 30 seconds and it's done. Be careful not to burn yourself though when removing the rest of the husk
