Need healthy recipes of how to cook fish w/out having that fishy taste.?
I eat fried fish on occasion because I never acquired the taste of fish. My boyfriend and his family go fishing often and cook what they catch. I need to get used to the taste of fish so I don't offend them and so I can start eating healthier. Please Help!!

Lemon on fish usually makes the taste of fish a lot better.
You could also add some dried herbs...
Anyways fish that is fresh doesn't have any fishy taste... and since your bf and his family go fishing then their catch is fresh. So don't worry... its gonna taste great if you cook it right away.
soak fish in milk
OR
marinate in yellow mustard- I know sounds wierd- but it's delicious
Marinate them with olive oil, lemon and rosemary, then grill (even on a stove stop grill)
Light tasty and yummi
soak the fish in milk before cooking. it takes away the fishy taste.
Soaking in milk works well. You can also wrap the fish in a roll, like the pillsbury fridge type, and it tastes delicious and not as "fishy." (It works especially well with meatier fishes--sword, salmon, etc.)
Fish if it's made properly can taste really good. My favorites are mahi mahi and tilapia.
You can easily season them with salt, pepper and paprika and just cook them in the skillet with a little oil.
Or, you can ground some almonds and mix them with flour (equal parts)
then season the fish, dredge it in the almond flour and cook it with a little oil and butter, serve with toasted almonds and white rice.
Good luck! hope you start liking fish!
The best way to get the fishy taste out would be to scale the fish...meaning take all the scales off. That way the Fish Slime and muddy water taste will almost all but disappear. I do this with the trout I catch locally and it is a dramatic difference in taste! I am sure the same rings true for all fish that have scales...I hope this helps.
