How do I make an omelette?!

Question:

How do I make an omelette?

I am really hungry so I was wondering how do you make an omelette with like cheese or something else? And note I' m just a 14 year old guy with very low cooking experience, so lots of details will help, thanx

Answers:
crack two or three eggs in a bowl and whip them with a fork until the yolks combine with the white part. Add Salt & pepper . In a NON STICK pan heat on burner for a few seconds before you put your eggs in.
Once they are in leave them until you can easily put your spatula underneath the eggs and continue to tilt the pan to get the uncooked egg underneath the cooked part. When almost done and top still not done but most egg has been cooked underneath, flip. Add your cheese and fold in half.
Then you can eat it.

How To Make an Omelette

You will Need:
2eggs (3 If You Are very Hungry or just plain greedy)
A frying pan or omelette pan if one is available (not essential)
a little vegetable or olive oil
A choice of filling (if you do not want it plain) e.g some cooked mushrooms, Finely sliced ham, or peeled prawns, grated cheese, cooked chopped tomatoes
Salt & Pepper

What You Do Is:
Have your choice of filling prepared in advance and ready on a plate beside your cooking area.

A note about the frying pan
It is essential with omelettes that the pan you use is either a non stick type or a pan you know will not stick. A method I have used on scratched steel pan, to stop it sticking is described next: Make sure it is clean, then put about a 10ml layer of salt in it, then heat it getting it very hot shake the salt around til its light brown (not dark brown or burnt). Discard the salt and remove the residual granules carefully from the hot pan with kitchen paper. The pan will now cook an omelette without sticking.
NOTE: A Lady recently phoned to say this technique did not work on her pan. I have used it to good effect many times, but cannot control how others apply the technique. If you have a steel or metal pan that is very deeply and extensively scratched, its best not use this method. Also when making your omelette in a "recovered" pan use only a wooden spatular during the cooking process.( and finally the above suggestion is offered at your own risk)

Put the pan on to heat with a little of the oil in it (not too much, about 2 tbspns max)

Break the eggs into a dish and whisk them with a fork untill well mixed add a little salt and pepper.

When the oil has blue huey smoke rising from it pour in the whisked egg, have a fork or flat wooden spatular ready, and as the egg mix starts to bubble keep bringing the cooked parts gently into the centre. This gradually allows the omellete to set into a pancake style consistency.
Carefully tap the pan so that the cooked omelette moves and slightly overlaps the pan edge.

Gently fold this overlap in toward the centre it should only go one third distance.

Now arrange your chosen filling in the centre of the omelette and fold the other edge in towards the middle. If you have done this properly, when you turn it out onto a plate the omelette should resemble the shape of a "Havana" cigar.
You can serve it with a salad garnish or as a meal with chips or Jacket potato and peas. Chop some parsley and sprinkle it over to finish the job.

crack 3 eggs in a jug, add atouch of milk nd whisk with a fork. grate cheese in to mixture and again mix with fork. heat a tad bit of oil in a pan after 30 secs or so add mixture and keep a eye on it when it looks like it needs to be turned flip over and cook for same amount of time (mybe 2 t 3 mins) hopefully you won't burn it. have a nice tea x x

3 eggs, crack em into a bowl and scramble them up

melt some butter in a frying pan.

pour the eggs in ,

make sure the heat is on medium,

let the eggs cook untill they are drying up pretty good, will be mostly around the edges.

throw some cheese and whatever else you like, mabe some chopped up ham , hell even bologna if thats what you like,

just put a handfull on top of the cooked eggs and fold it in half,

let it cook a few minutes untill the cheese is melted, I like to put it in the microwave for about a minute to make sure the eggs are cooked (hate slimy eggs)

beat eggs and 1/4 pint milk together place in small hot frying pan. add the ham ect keep pulling the edges toward the centre, when there is no more place under the grill untl the ommlette has risen which means it is ready.

Omelette's are very easy to make, and the fun thing about them is you can put anything you want inside. This is how I like to make my omelettes.First I fry up some bacon.I then get 3 eggs put them in a bowl.Mix all 3 eggs together.I then cut my bacon into pieces.I throw the bacon in the bowl with the eggs.Next I throw in sliced onion ,and sometimes diced tomatoes.once you have the omlette mixture ready to go, take a little of your bacon grease, and warm it in a frying pan.Make sure your frying pan is on medium heat.Next, you pour your egg mixture in the frying pan.Fry for about 10 minutes then flip your omlette over. After the omlette is flipped over, add your cheese to the top.It will only take a minute to melt.Whala your omlette is finished.

One thing that's been left out so far I think is that for only 2 eggs, you'd want to use a *small* skillet/pan... that's because you want the egg to pool up and have a little thickness to it ... an 8" pan would be great for 1-3 eggs.

Another thing is that it's best if that pan is rounded on its bottom edge --sort of for the depth reason, and sort of to create a thin edge around the omelet.
Pans shaped like that are sometimes called "omelet pans" because of their shape, but many ordinary pans of that size will also have rounded bottoms without calling themselves by that name (...there are also special hinged, 2-part "omelet pans," but those are totally unncessary).

(It's also best if the pan is non-stick, as mentioned, but if you use enough butter or oil and it's been spread out to the edges of the pan, you should be able to make an omelet without that.)

P.S. Grated cheeses work best just so they'll melt quickly.
P.P.S. When you want more varied omelets, you can begin to put some pre-nuked veggies or meat (grated or finely chopped --or even things like warmed salsa) inside your omelet with the cheese.
