How much calcium is in chicken bones?!

Question:

How much calcium is in chicken bones?

I have been cooking whole fryers for my dogs in my pressure cooker. If you cook them an hour and a half or more the bones are safe to feed. I'm wondering how much calcium is in a whole four pound fryer with bones?

Answers:
The longer you cook anything, the less nutritious it is. It's obliterated by the heat.

If you are concerned about the calcium intake, use an alternative, like giving them leafy greens....sometimes you can give them an egg white bath and the dogs will eat them that way.

Have you ever thought of the raw food diet? The bones are safe that way, as well, and they will be able to get more calcium out of them raw.
