Ginger and cinnamon cake recipe wanted?!

Question:

Ginger and cinnamon cake recipe wanted?

I saw a really great movie on the Sundance Channel called "Ginger and Cinnamon" about a woman who travels with her neice from Spain to Greece. Her ex-boyfriend use to make a ginger and cinnamon cake as a peace offering when they fought, and when I got a look at this cake, I wanted to find a recipe of my own. It's very simple, no frosting or nuts, and has a beautiful dark brown color. If anyone has something similar to it, could you please post the recipe? Thanks in advance.
