Is there a replacement for butter when cooking macaroni and cheese?!

Question:

Is there a replacement for butter when cooking macaroni and cheese?

I'm making macaroni and cheese, but I have NO butter!! What do I substitute it with?

Answers:
Leave it out or use a Tbs. of oil

I suggest not using butter at all. Wen I make it for my little brother ( who is a very picky eater) I use condensed milk instead. It makes it sweeter and you don't even realize butter is missing.

olive oil
margarine
cream cheese
sour cream
egg yolk

Personally I wouldn't substitute. The butter is to make the roux and I think it tastes better than any substitute mentioned. Apart from that, the amount isn't that much.

Sometimes I use a litte milk.
