how do you make asparagus taste good?
Answers:
roast it (450 degrees 10 minutes) or grill it with a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
serve plain, with hollendaise sauce, or i like mayo with a bit of lemon and tabasco.
You could try a variety of salad dips such as ranch or cheese to give it extra favour.
Put on a shallow cookie sheet, drizzle with olive oil, add some minced fresh garlic and roast in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 min.
If you like quiche, add asparagus.
Hollandaise Sauce
Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup butter
* 2 egg yolks
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* few grains cayenne pepper
Prep:
Melt butter in a double boiler over simmering water (low heat). Beat egg yolks well and add to butter, stirring constantly with a wire whisk or wooden spoon. Gradually
Add salt and cayenne pepper before serving. If sauce is too thick, add a teaspoon or two of hot water
Put lemon on top- DELISH!

You can pan fry it in garlic butter sauce; that's a nice, simple flavoring, or you could put some curry powder over it after you steam it (in the microwave or a pot). White gravy also makes a nice addition. If you cut it into pieces about one-ince long, you can add it to a soup stock with other vegetables and/or meat to make a nice soup.
I know what you mean; I don't like asparagus very much, but I like to cook and I've tried some of this before. It does make a difference to add some spices.
i recommend light steaming, quick griddle, lemon and butter
wrap in bacon, ham, or other cured meat and grill - serve with a dijon/mayo sauce

Seasoned Asparagus
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs. fresh asparagus
1 - 2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 - 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 - 2 tsp. Seasoned Salt
2 - 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Place asparagus in single layer on baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice; sprinkle with Seasoned Salt. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes or until crisp-tender. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Makes 4-5 servings.
Brush it with olive oil & salt , pepper & garlic powder & Grill it !!! Or Serve it with a Alfredo, mushroom or cheese sauce !!!
Or cut it up with carrots, peppers, broccoli , onions, bean sprouts , diced chicken & stir-fry it with a little oil & soy sauce !!!
