Answers:
Alfredo Sauce:
1 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
Freshly cracked black pepper
Chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, for garnish

To prepare alfredo sauce: Heat heavy cream over low-medium heat in a deep saute pan. Add butter and whisk gently to melt. Sprinkle in cheese and stir to incorporate. Season with freshly cracked black pepper. In a large stockpot, cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water for 3 minutes. Quickly drain the pasta and add it to the saute pan, gently toss the noodles to coat in the alfredo. Transfer pasta to a warm serving bowl. Top with more grated cheese and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

cream and butter and parm cheese and a little garlic. you got sauce.

ALFREDO SAUCE

1/2 pt. half and half
1 stick sweet butter
4 oz. soft cream cheese
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Pepper to taste

Melt butter in medium saucepan. Add softened cream cheese, half and half, Parmesan cheese and pepper. Stir until smooth and then bring to a soft boil and cook 2-3 minutes.

put about halff a cup of butter in a pot . melt. add hal a cup flour . mix well because if not you will get lumpy sauce. then add ,milk until your desired consistency. stir until thickened . add nutmeg and salt.
you can also add chicken strips, strips of ham, chopped nut or parsley.

Wow, the first 2 answers pretty much covered it, they sound like great recipies....Good luck!

The other answers a great but if you want to make it a lot less fating follow this recipe that my mom and I put together.
Take 1 tablespoon butter and 1/4 cup VERY finely chopped onions and saute the onions in the butter for about 5 min. Then take 2 cups cream and put it the pan with the onions. bring it to a boil and reduce the heat and let boil for about 10 min. (this is where the flavor comes from) Reduce heat to low and add 1 cup Parmesan cheese stir for about 3 min. Take off heat and serve.

Little bit of butter, chopped garlic, parsley
Saute in pan.
Add half and half til it simmers.
Add parm or Romano cheese.
Add pasta.
Toss.
Viola...Pasta Alfredo.
You can add any meat or veggies as well to make it a more hearty meal.
Trick is to serve it while its hot
I use half and half instead of heavy cream so it doesn't get too thick and holds up better.
And don't use too much butter...it makes it greasy.

Alfredo Sauce
1/2 cup butter
8 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces half-and-half cream
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
black pepper (to taste)

1. Melt butter in sauce pan.
2. Add cream cheese and whisk as you add half & half.
3. Whisk until smooth adding cheese, garlic powder and pepper.
4. Simmer until heated through.
5. Pour over any pasta you choose, we even liked it on cheese tortellini.
6. Serve with a nice green salad, garlic bread, and a nice glass of wine.
7. Very filling!
