Keeping cookies soft?!

Question:

Keeping cookies soft?

How do you keep cookies (sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, etc) from getting hard after you make them? When I make them they get hard by the next day. I heard about brown sugar, does that really work and how would I disperse that?

Answers:
put them in a cookie jar, plastic bag, rubbermaid container with a slice of bread (not moldy bread, fresh) or a slice of apple...(works for brown sugar too.)

What I do is I don't completely cook my cookies. They're a little bit raw (but not too raw) after I bake them, but they stay soft for the next days.

After the cookies cool put them in a zip lock bag or a air tight container w/ a peice of bread. This really works we do it all the time!

take cookies out of oven just before they are cooked.
cool and ziploc , they will stay soft for a few days
