Can you use a baking potatoes in mashed potatoes?!

Question:

Can you use a baking potatoes in mashed potatoes?

All I have is baking potatoes and I want to make mashed potatoes. If I can use them, would I make them the same way as I use my other potatoes?

Answers:
Same way! just peel them cut them into cubes boil them & mash em.. add milk and butter ofcourse! (but you already knew how to make homemade mashed potatoes... I just added that in ther so people who are looking for answers on how to make them may read it..)

Sure can, Just peel them, cut into chunks and cook your normal way.

They will be fine, indeed better, if you roast them in an oven before mashing instead of boiling. You lose less of the starch so your mash will be smoother.

Sure Boil them until you can pierce with a fork.

yes

Baking potatoes can be used but they tend to be a little more grainy then the potatoes used for mashing. so make sure they are cooked completely and then I use buttermilk and some sauted garlic and sometimes some sauted onion after I mash them. I also would make sure I peel them before mashing them as the peels tend to be thick and not a reat texture.

Yes you can. Just peel the skin, then mash it and lastly cook it. My friend once make mash potatoes out of french fries. Good luck!!!!

no never do that it could be deadly
