ooh we have one of those hodge podge makers.. it kinda looks like a old fashion grilled cheese makers.. you put 2 slices of bread.. one one one side and one on the other and put canned cherries or any kinda fruit and close.. heat it up.. its kinda like a healthy fruit hot pocket.. you can get the makers at walmart ot k mart has them! good luck and have fun!
chips and definitely something to drink
snack -watermelon and kool-aid
food- bbq ribs
Corn on the cob...keep it wrapped in the leaves that cover it and then wrap it in foil and stick it on the coals...10 minutes and great corn
SANDwiches, SEAsonings and SUNny D!
The best thing to bring to the beach would be fresh fruits and veges kept chilled in a cooler. It's very refreshing!!!!
Don't know what kind of things you are into, but this is what my kids love for me to bring (not healthy at all)
vienna sausages, sandwich fixins, cookies (with ziplock bags to keep them in) Little debbie cakes, chips, beef jerky, crackers with squirt cheese, pretzals.
i am at cape may nj beach right now. i have chips and cooler sandwich's. if i need anything else i will pick up at a local deli shop. (i also have ice tea, and bottled water)
Well it depends on whether or not you'll be in one of those condos that has a kitchen. Fresh fruit is always good because when you're hot, there's nothing like a good piece of fruit. It also packs into a beach bag really well. Individually packaged peanut butter crackers is a good snack to bring that also totes well to the beach. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a good, easy lunch...esp when it comes to kids. Bagels for breakfast.
Groceries are usually a little higher at the beach. A good thing to bring is all your condiments. There's no need to pay double the price for a bottle of ketchup!
Hope this helps.
Smores? Is that an American thing? I'd say good old fish and chips at the beach - as we do it in Britain!

Banana Boats
Take a not too ripe banana and pull off the section of the peel on the inside of the curve. Using a paring knife or spoon, make a trough about halfway through the banana. Put in a small swirl of peanut butter, a few chocolate chips, and some small marshmallows. Place the bits of fruit that you scooped out on top to make a barrier between the peel and the marshmallows. Place the peel that you removed earlier back on top of the boat. Wrap in foil and roast in the coals of your fire for about 5 minutes until everything is melted. Open the foil and devour. Be advised, these are very gooey to eat so use a spoon. You can make these ahead of time and place the foil packs in your cooler until you are ready to cook.
