Samurai Sam's question...?!

Question:

Samurai Sam's question...?

I was wondering if any of you know the recipe for Samurai Sam's Teriyaki sauce... the stuff they use in the bowls. It's delicious. I've tried to get a recipe for sauce off of the internet and it came out okay but it was really a whole different type of sauce. I love the Samurai Sam's sauce and I'd love to make it for my family, I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

I hope this does the trick for you! I think that getting their exact recipe will be like getting the recipe for Coca Cola!

INGREDIENTS
3 cups soy sauce
1 1/2 cups mirin (Japanese sweet wine)
1 orange, juiced
6 ounces chopped fresh pineapple with skin
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
4 tablespoons white sugar, divided
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, orange juice, pineapple, Granny Smith apple, garlic, ginger, and half of the sugar; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Adjust sweetness to taste with remaining sugar. Strain through a fine mesh sieve; cool.
