What ingredients should I add to make this sauce better?!

Question:

What ingredients should I add to make this sauce better?

I have a Sundried Tomato and Basil Alfredo sauce, I was wondering if adding chicken or mushrooms or both might be a good idea to add to this sauce to make it a little better. Also, if chicken is a good idea, what kind of chicken should I get from the store to add to it? If there are other ingredients that might add to the good taste of this sauce, what might they be? My girlfriend likes fettucini alfredo and she likes this sauce, but I would like to make something special for her for dinner. I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations....thank you for your time.

Answers:
Chicken and/or mushrooms is the perfect addition to Alfredo sauce

Buy boneless/skinless chicken breast from the store, dice it up and cook in olive oil and garlic, add the mushrooms to that, add it the sauce when they're cooked through. You can also find ready made (pre cooked) diced up chicken breast.

Ok. well in sundried tomato and basil alfedo sauce, mushrooms are not a good idea. but white grilled chicken would taste nice. Make sure the chicken is cut into bite size pieces. By adding chicken you don't have to add any meat to your dinner. Just have a vegie side dish and salad.

A nice and easy option is to get a ready grilled whole chicken from shop/ Deli, cut into pieces and mix with sauce. cook in the oven for 10-15 mins.
Good luck.

If I was you I would go for the frist answer......

But anyway yes I think you should add both just hope she likes mushrooms because some people don't like it in there food. For the chicken go with the boneless chicken breast that's the best............

I make a fettucini dish with sundried tomato and basil alredo and lump crab meat and mussles. SO good! If she's a seafood lover you might try this for a really special meal. Add a squirt of lemon and a dash of white wine, and let the sauce simmer a while with all the seafood juices.

chicken or mushroom both are good ideas...how about capers you could add that too onions peppers if thats not already in the sauce a small amount of spinach..maybe some crumbled bacon?

i would enjoy beef tenderloin strips cooked med-rare and add the mushrooms. serve it over long grain rice for a change.

I would season a couple of chicken breast halves with salt and pepper and saute in a frying pan until golden brown and cooked through. I would let them rest and slice them and would fan them down the center of the pasta on your plates and drizzle on a little extra of the Alfredo Sauce. Or you could do the same with some shrimp, too, if she likes seafood. Adding some chopped fresh parsley on top makes it look extra special. Good luck, she'll enjoy it.
