I have a very simple technique. I cook the pork roast in a slow cooker all day long, with nothing in it, but salt/pepper and onion. Then a few hours before it is time to eat, I use a fork to shred the meat, and then pour in a bottle of my favorite Bar-B-Q sauce and let it simmer in it until ready to eat. Everyone loves it, and it is very very simple.

Do to the book store and buy BBQ Bible,

BBQ what????? Beef, pork, ribs, brisket, chicken, shrimp, vegetables.??????

You can get some good BBQ recipes on this website, i leave the link for you.
X D

1 cup a-1 steak sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
mix and brush on meat
pork chops, chicken, steak, or any meat you want BBQ`ed

I usually marinade whole cuts of meat and veggies.

Poultry, seafood, veggies, and Pork cook at low to med temps. Beef cooks at high temps except for hamburger which is medium temp. Seare the meat at high temp, then drop the temp to the appropriate level.

Any finishing sauces should be applied at the end of cooking.
Flip items as minimally as possible and use tongs and or flippers to avoid puncturing the seared surface, resulting in loss of juices.

I take Cat's suggestion a couple steps further, we make it all the time, about 3 hours into cooking the roast pour a Coke over it and add brown sugar, when the meat is done, drain and shred, add your favorite BBQ sauce (how much depends on you) mix, return to the crock and let it heat through. Serve on hard, crusty rolls or just eat the meat!!
We made a ton of it for my son's graduation open house and got compliments galore.

And the best roast to use is pork bonelss butt. Yeah, I said boneless butt and it felt good!!!! Baahhhaaahhhaa
We love Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, if you haven't tried it, get some. I had never tried it, never even heard of it until I saw people on here talking about it.
