What is a good recipe for gravy to dip grilled elk in?!

Question:

What is a good recipe for gravy to dip grilled elk in?

Or what is a good gravy recipe that doesn't need drippings???

Answers:
A burgundy based gravy is what I like with elk.
When you make your broth, add 1/2 cup of burgundy (or other hearty red wine). Just finish up as you would usually with your gravy. Garlic, pepper, and mushrooms are good additions.

(I treat elk as a rich beef.)

Elk is the primary meat at my house.

Never tried Elk.. to be honest. But off the top of my head I would say Au jus.

Get some of the Lipton Soup mixes, beef and mushroom, beef and onion, or onion and they will also have a recipe for gravy, very good--elk is always dry to get it to taste good all bone and fat should be removed, if yours isn't removed soak overnight in milk drain and then cook. Not a pro but grew up eating all sorts of wild meats.

Like my prime-rib Clarified BUTTER.

hmm....... butter with garlic, worchester sauce and mushrooms.
