i really need to know a cake recipe because my wonderful sister is turning 17 next week and she cant have sugar or she gets really mean and grumpy. so please tell me some sugar free dessert ideas and i will be very greatful.

SUGAR FREE DELIGHT CAKE

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
6 pkg. Equal
1 lg. box sugar free instant chocolate pudding mix
1 lg. box sugar free instant vanilla pudding mix
1 container sugar free whipping topping (this comes in box)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

Mix for the crust: flour, butter, pecans and 3 package Equal. Put in long cake pan. Bake until brown. Cool.
Spread first layer on crust: Mix together cream cheese and 3 package Equal. Spread on crust.

SECOND LAYER: Make pudding mixes as directed on box for pudding. Mix vanilla and chocolate together. Spread on first layer.

THIRD LAYER: Spread whipped topping. Add chopped pecans on top. Keep in refrigerator.

SUGAR FREE MANDARIN ORANGE CAKE

1 butter cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1 1/4 c. chopped pecans
2 sm. cans mandarin oranges

Wash and drain mandarin oranges. Mix all ingredients together and bake in a greased and floured 9x13 cake pan or 3 round cake pans for 30 minutes at 325 degrees.

FROSTING:

Mix:

1 lg. box vanilla instant pudding (sugar-free)
1 med. can crushed pineapple (in its own juice and drained)
3 packs whipped topping (prepared as directed)


SUGAR FREE CAKE

2 c. raisins
3 c. water
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. unsweetened apple sauce
3 tbsp. liquid sweetener
3/4 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine and cook raisins and water until water is absorbed; cool. Combine eggs, applesauce, oil, vanilla, and sweetener. Sift flour, soda, salt, and spices. Add to egg mixture. Add raisins and nuts. Pour into floured bundt or tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan

SUGAR-FREE BANANA CAKE

2/3 c. banana, mashed
1/2 c. butter, softened
3 lg. eggs
3/4 c. water
2 c. unbleached flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
Optional: 1 c. chopped walnuts OR 1/2 c. chopped walnuts & 1/2 c. raisins

Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch pan. Beat together mashed banana and soft butter until creamy. Beat in water. In a separate bowl, beat eggs until very foamy. Beat into mixture. Blend in flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Beat until smooth. Stir in walnuts or walnuts and raisins, if desired. Spread batter evenly in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean. Cool. Serves 8-10.

Sugar Free Key Lime Pie
For Filling:

1 packet Knox unflavored gelatin

3 tablespoons lime juice

1/2 cup boiling water

9 - 1gram packets Equal or similar

For Crust:

1-9-inch graham cracker

Lime zest

Thin lime slices

1 cup evaporated skim milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Juice of 1-1/2 limes

2 drops green food coloring

Sprinkle gelatin over lime juice and let it stand for 1 minute.

Add boiling water and sweetener to gelatin mixture and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Refrigerate about 45 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Combine milk and vanilla and freeze 30 minutes.

Remove from freezer and whip at high speed until stiff.

Stir lime juice and food coloring into whipped milk. (Save remaining 1/2 lime for garnish.)

Slowly blend gelatin mixture into whipped milk. Spoon pie filling into crust. Chill until firm.

Garnish with lime zest and lime slices. Cut into 8 even portions and serve 1 portion per serving.

Yield: One 9-inch pie, 8 servings

1 recipe Basic Pie Shell
4 apples
1 Tablespoon (15 mL) lemon juice
3 Tablespoon (45 mL) granulated sugar replacement or granulated fructose
1/4 teaspoon (2 mL) cinnamon
4 teaspoon (20 mL) margarine
1 egg white (slightly beaten)

Directions

Roll out pie dough and cut into 4 equal pieces. Peel and core apples and sprinkle them with lemon. Place 1 apple in center of each piece of dough. Combine sugar replacement and cinnamon in a bowl, sprinkling evenly into cavity of apples. Top each apple with 1 teaspoon (5 mL) margarine. Bring opposite ends of dough up over apple. Moisten slightly with water; seal securely. Brush with beaten egg white and place in shallow baking pan. Bake at 425 F (220 C) for 35 to 45 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.

If you are making it yourself try Splenda. They sell it in bags like sugar so you can measure it yourself. When my dad was alive he was diabetic. I have a great oatmeal cookie recipe where I use honey instead of sugar. It was very tasty and had no sugar to make him sick.

You may also look online because there are many recipes. I know some stores sell sugar-free pies so check to see about the cakes.
