You like fried rice?

My fried rice with chicken and glazed carrots recipe:

Cook your rice like you normally do,then let it cool completely.
You can speed it up by putting it in the freezer for a little. The add to a wok or large pan with vegetable oil at medium heat.after you start hearing it fry a little ,stir occasionally and add some paprika and soy saouce to give it color. It usually takes only about 15 min. for it to completely fry,it depends how fried you want it.
I add some nice brown sugar glazed carrots on mine and chicken peices with chopped glazed onions.
Glazed carrots--- Use a small bowl pan of any sort u usually boil eggs or small stuff in and add water and 2 spoons of butter to it,heat it up in med heat while slicing your BABY carrots [theyre sweeter] then add the carrots into the water and add as much white and/or brown sugar as you like.
I usually add a good cup of sugar to half a cup of water to give the water a good glaze consistency after it's cooked.Leave for a good 25 min and add a bit of salt.Medium heat!Add to your fried rice with some grilled chicken peices and fried chopped onions and Voila, you have an awesome meal!!!

Do you like ground meat? There's this good cuban ground meat recipe i always cook that gives your meat alot of taste and rocks with some mash potatoes or white rice.

My Cuban ground meat recipe [Picadillo];

Cook your ground meat in olive oil on a pan, while it cooking add 2 spoons of tomato paste and chopped spanish olives[much as u want] with salt and pepper. Also add a little lemon juice and paprika to give it a flavor and chopped garlic.Saute it and stir it constantly so the all the nice flavirs mix in together.I dont believe in measuring so you can add as little or more of anything you like but the tomato paste is a must! And there ya go,no more than 20 minutes is needed for this.
I ,personally eat my ground meat with white rice.

last night I made cedar planked salmon, risotto with peas and proscuitto, and asparagus. All was really good! check cooks.com or epicurious.com, i can't remember where I got which recipe.

I made this a couple of days ago. It is very easy, fast, and inexpensive and hard to mess up...and very good. Save some old peanut butter jars, baby food jars or olive jars and clean them to put the jam in. It was so easy that I made one jar for me and 3 jars for some neighbors...

Rose Petal Jam

1 batch

1 cup fresh rose petals (must never have been sprayed with any chemicals)
3/4 cup water
1 lemon, juice of (1/4 cup)
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 package pectin (ie. Sure Jell)
3/4 cup water

1. Puree rose petals, 3/4 cup water and lemon juice in blender until smooth.
2. Slowly add sugar.
3. Blend till all sugar has dissolved; (leave in blender) Stir 1 package pectin (ie. Sure Jell) into 3/4 cup water, bring to a boil, and boil hard for 1 minute. Pour mixture into blender with rose petal mixture until well blended.
4. Do this very quickly - it sets up FAST!! Pour into baby food jars.
5. Let set for 6 hours, till firm.
6. Will keep one month in refrigerator.
7. Freezes well.

a really fast and totally mouthwatering dish...

3-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts.
2 cans of the family size mushroom soup (w/o milk)
3 cans(small) of mushrooms (or I like fresh in mine).
and two 16 oz of sour cream.

You salt, pepper, paprkia both sides of the chicken. Put them in the crock pot with the 2 cans of mushroom soup and 3 cans of mushrooms. And place the slow cooker on "low" and 6-8 hours or until fork tender.

Then turn off your slow cooker (or it will curtle the sour cream) and add both containers of sour cream.

Serve over white rice or egg noodles or mash potatos. add a dash of pepper and paprkia.

Its so easy and makes a bunch of a little family or big one. And its really easy for hubby to take to work.

At my house these days, it's all about the grill. We do almost everything outside on the charcoal this time of year. Over the last few days, we've done grilled salmon, thick cut rib-eyes, homemade burgers, beer can chicken, shrimp skewers, ribs and more. For sides, I've done grilled corn, asparagus, cabbage, potatoes, etc......Even garlic bread comes out wonderful & the best part is my kitchen stays much cleaner & the food tastes awesome!!
