What is the best way to grill chicken thighs on a GF grill? How long?!

Question:

What is the best way to grill chicken thighs on a GF grill? How long?

I have never made "thighs" before. They are marinating now in Italian dressing. Also...how long could I cook baked beans in the oven for? Any suggestions for garnishing the beans? Thanks! I have a dinner to prepare for tomorrow :)

Answers:
Chicken thighs do not take long to cook on the grill. I love the italian dressing marinade, and while they are grilling, continue to baste the thighs with the marinade. They should not take more that 5 minutes on each side however, be sure to brown them up on each side fairly well. I usually cook my baked beans in a crock pot on the low setting. I just made them last weekend for memorial day. There is no need to soak the beans. If using the crock pot, fill the pot with your beans as well as all the ingredients. Put the beans on low and cook for 6-8 hours. If using the oven, the same applies however, cook them at 300 degrees, covered for 6-8 hours however, cooking in the crockpot allows you to turn them on this evening before you go to bed on the low setting and when you wake up, they will be done ! Good luck on your dinner tomorrow.

Cook thighs 10 minutes without cover. Turn dish after 5 minutes. They're done when the juices run clear.

Baked Beans

8 slices bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup tomato puree
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 twenty-eight ounce cans red beans, drained and rinsed

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Put a heavy-bottomed pot (with a lid) over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook, stirring often, until the fat renders and bacon begins to crisp, about 6-8 minutes. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes more. Stir in the ketchup, tomato puree, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and cayenne and mix well. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the beans until well coated, cover, and bake in the oven for 1 hour. Remove the lid and continue baking until sauce thickens and the beans begin to brown, about 15 minutes more. Remove from the oven and allow to cool at least 15 minutes before serving.

this is a refreshing vegetable salad that goes nice with a bbq!

Corn, Avocado, and Tomato Salad

2 cups cooked corn, fresh or frozen
1 avocado, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup finely diced red onion

Dressing:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Combine the corn, avocado, tomatoes and onion in a large glass bowl. Mix together the dressing ingredients in another bowl, pour over the salad, and gently toss to mix.

Lori cut and pull out the bone..if you are using a george foreman, you need them boneless, they will cook more evenly.
It will make them flatter pieces which will cook fast too...Your marinade sounds good so all you need to do Is put em on the GF, close and cook about 6 minutes....Thighs are a good economical piece, and never dry!! Also, if you have it sprinkle on a little lemon pepper first..

Think about this, since yoyu have the chicken already marinating in the dresing, when you're ready to cook them bread them in bread crumbs and bake in the oven at 400 for 1 hour. Let them cool before yoyu eat. They are also good served cold. If you grill them it's going to create a mess by dripping into the grill. The oil in the dressing has oil in it and not a partner of fire. The chicken will not get cooked inside and you won't be happy. I do my beans stove top in a sauce pan. It's quicker and just as good. Just something to ponder.
