Can you freeze fairy cakes (sponge cake)?!

Question:

Can you freeze fairy cakes (sponge cake)?

-or will they dry out?
-if they can, how long can they be frozen for?

Answers:
Yes. No problem. My anniversary cake what we had left was frozen and have defrosted and ate since. It was just like it was a fresh one. Good luck happy eating.
Keep for about six weeks frozen

i would not recommend freezing the, i would just eat them yum yum... cakes.. mmmmmmmmmm

NO

hi you can in a plastic box for a week! un Iced

Because sponge cake is largely made up of beaten egg whites, it tends to get tough and dry after being frozen. I wouldn't recommend it.

yep preferably uniced put it in a plastic bag and suck all the air out it should be right for a few months

i make 36 at a time and freeze half for later in the week, i have left mine in for up to a month and they have been fine.
