Angel food cake frosting?!

Question:

Angel food cake frosting?

I can make this really good frosting for an angel food cake that consists of egg whites and beating in a mixture of sugar, water, cream of tarter and corn syrup that has been heated. The frosting thickens and gets the shiny gloss that it is supposed to but when you put it on the cake a couple of hours later the frosting has ran down the sides. Is there a way to make the frosting thicker and peak better?? If so could you give some input on how to do so? Thanks

Answers:
i always just use a glaze with milk and powdered sugar.....easy and tastes awesome.

Even better with strawberries!!
:)

skip all the hassle and just serve it with strawberries, they are so much better for you too

but maybe chilling would help????

When applying heated frostings, I always let it cook completely until its a bit thick and then put it on. Doesn't look as pretty but it does tend to stay put.

Also, make sure its thin on the sides.
