How to make homemade ice cream with a churn?!

Question:

How to make homemade ice cream with a churn?

Answers:
This is what I use to make a gallon.
Beat 4 eggs well, add1 qt. half and half, 1 pint whipping cream, 2 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons vanilla. Mix well and pour into can. Add enough whole milk to fill to the fill line. Stir well and put in paddle.
Plug in electric churn or start cranking the hand mixers:
Start with a half cup salt in bottom of tub and then add a layer of crushed ice. Sprinkle more rock salt over this and repeat layering with ice and salt. When freezer starts slowing down or stops, unplug and wipe off the top. Remove lid and take the paddle out. Replace lid, plug the hole and then put as much crushed ice over the top and cover with salt. Wrap with a quilt or something heavy and let set for a couple of hours to harden.
If you want to add fruit, mix it in a blender until smooth and then add with the milk at the start.
