How do u make cake???!

Question:

How do u make cake???

Answers:
If you have never baked a cake, I would suggest you start out with a cake mix. I prefer Duncan Hines, but Betty Crocker and Pillsbury are also good. You can get those at your grocery store. While there, pick up a container of frosting which is with the cake mixes.

If you don't have a pan, I would suggest a 9 x 13 glass baking dish so you can use it for other things. Note: When using a glass dish, you should turn your temperature down 25 degrees.

Follow the directions on the back of the box. The box will also tell you how to check for doneness. Cake mixes today generally bounce back if you lightly touch the cake when the baking time is up.

Using the 9 x 13 pan, you can leave the cake in the pan. When it is cool, frost it.

Once you get comfortable making a basic cake, purchase The Cake Mix Doctor Cookbook and expand on the basic cake mix cake.

From there, you can venture out into scratch cakes such as pound cakes, chiffon cakes, etc.

Good luck!

Hi

I don't make cake,,i bake a cake..unless is a cakewalk..

From scratch or store bought?

I use a ready to bake cake mix that comes in powder form that you add water, oil and eggs to. It states on the back of the box the steps including how hot the oven needs to be. The box will give you different cooking times for different size cakes that you can make.

I use two 9 inch round cake pans and once the batter is blended I split the mix equally between the two pans and bake them side by side on the center oven rack.

The box will state that you need to let the cake cool completely before taking it out of the pans because if you take it out before it has cooled then it will crack and fall apart.

There are 40 kinds of cakes ....or more. Go to www.foodnetwork.com and pick the one you want to make. All are there. Just type cake into search engine and VIOLA...recipes......

Go to the store a get a box of cake mix. Also get the ingredients on the back of the box, usually eggs and oil.
