Want to make slushes/smoothies..?!

Question:

Want to make slushes/smoothies..?

I want to make a slushie thing, but I realized I can't use the strawberries that I've got. So, I've got watermelon, (lots of watermelon) a banana, and vanilla and strawberry yogurts to work with...as well as your normal ice cubes, sugar, bit of lemon juice, etc. Please make sure to use the watermelon somehow...I love watermelon and really want to use it!

WATERMELON SHERBET
From: Simply Desserts
By: Wilkinson, Rosemary
Serves 6

Ingredients:
2? pound piece watermelon
1 cup superfine sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
2 egg whites
Mint leaves, to decorate

Preparation:
1. Cut the watermelon in wedges, then cut it away from the rind,
cubing the flesh and picking out all the seeds.

2. Purée three-quarters of the flesh in a food processor or
blender, but mash the last quarter on a plate - this will give the
sherbet more texture.

3. Stir the sugar with the lemon juice and ? cup cold water in a
saucepan over very low heat, until the sugar dissolves and the syrup
clears.

4. Mix all the watermelon and the syrup in a large bowl and
transfer to a freezer container.

5. Freeze for 1 to 1? hours, until the edges begin to set. Beat
the mixture, return to the freezer and freeze for another hour.

6. When the hour is up, whisk the egg whites to soft peaks. Beat
the iced mixture again and fold in the egg whites. Return to the
freezer for another hour, then beat once more and freeze firm.

7. Transfer the sherbet from the freezer to the fridge for 20 to
30 minutes before it is to be served. Serve in scoops, decorated with
mint leaves.

hey try this, cut the top off the watermelon and squish the inside of it, strain the juice, add a shot of vodka, place in a glass pan or bowl, place in freezer and keep a close eye on it, when it starts to freeze start scraping it and scrap it every few minutes until it reaches the consistency that you want.
