Can i make sugar cookies without baking soda or powder?!

Question:

Can i make sugar cookies without baking soda or powder?

Answers:
You can make shortbread cookies which is a rich sugar butter cookie. But it is a different texture, you won't have the chewiness of a traditional sugar cookie.

Go to www.allrecipes.com

and look up shortbread, butter cookie or jam thumbprints. All don't have baking soda or powder.

well...
u can make sugar cookies with out baking soda
but with baking powder it is better, it gives the cookie a bit of volume(u know what i mean) if u don't use it the cookies will look a bit flat
but if u don't use any of them the cookie tastes the same
:)

yes-they won't be as chewy-more crispy

I did that before and it came out really big!!!

yes...they'll be hard.

Your cookies won't rise if you omit the leavening agent.
