Answers:
Ingredients

2 1/4 cups flour
1 Tsp. salt
1 Tsp. baking soda
1 Cup shortening
3/4 Cup packed brown sugar
3/4 Cup white sugar
1 Tsp. pure vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 Cups chocolate chips
1 Cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Steps
Preheat your oven to 350oF.

In a medium bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Gently mix these together and then set this bowl aside.

In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup of Crisco shortening, 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar, 3/4 cup of white sugar, and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla. When those are completely mixed together, add 2 eggs and mix again until completely combined.

Slowly add the dry ingredients from the medium bowl to the wet ingredients in the large bowl, mixing until the dry ingredients are totally combined. At this point you should have a moderately thick cookie dough.

Add 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips, and if you want you can also add 1 cup of chopped walnuts. Mix together.

Scoop up a golf ball size amount of dough with a spoon and drop in onto a cookie sheet. Leave at least an inch of space between the cookies because they'll spread out when they cook. You can usually fit 12 cookies on a cookie sheet at a time.

Put the cookies in the oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes. You'll want to check them after 8 minutes, but if they look doughy, you'll want to cook them for another couple of minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and let the cookies sit on the pan for 3-5 minutes.

Using a spatula, lift cookies off onto wax paper or tin foil. Let cool for about 5 more minutes.

Eat and enjoy!!

Just use the recipe on the bag of the chip bag. Follow it precise. And...soften your butter by setting it on the counter. Don't nuke it in the microwave. That makes them flat.

LOL, I always use the recipe on the bag of cho. chip morsels :-)

Or you could do a google search for recipies :-)
Good Luck :-)

Wish I could be more help but I always use the recipe on the back of the Nestle Toll house chocolate chips. I use the milk chocolate chips and follow the recipe. Don't melt butter in the microwave just let it sit out on the counter until it is soft. They turn out pretty good. And your daughter wont care if they are from scratch or not she will remember the fun times that she spent with her Mom.

the best recipe i have ever found is on www.allrecipes.com and search for "award winning cookies". You use a packet of VANILLA pudding mix *others dont taste as good.* it keeps the cookies moist and amazing... many people ask me to make them for parties and what not.

We used to make economy choclate chip cookies. They had cornflakes, pecans, peanut butter and other items. I think we got the recipe from a church cookbook. They were the best!
I have my own that are really good. Get a bag of peanut butter cookie mix.
3tbs oil, 1 egg, 1 cup peanut butter wisk well add cookie mix and a cup of choc chips. Form the dough into a rectangle about an inch thick. Take a knife and cut the dough into 1 inch cubes. Place on cookie sheet 2" apart and bake at 350 for about 7 min. (Not black on the bottom- light brown) Let cool and try not to eat them all at once.

GET A BAG OF TOLL HOUSE MORSEL, THE RECIPE IS ON THE BAG,

The best recipe I found is on the back of the Toll House chocolate chip bad, It is the yellow one in the supper market. I have never had a batch of these turn out bad.
