Corn: is it digestable?!

Question:

Corn: is it digestable?

Corn is used in dog food. Some manufacturers claim that it is not digestible. What do you think?

Answers:
Some portions of the kernal are high in cellulose which is very difficult for the digestive system to break down.

So the answer is, parts of it are digestible and parts will simply pass through undigested.

no it isn't

It's not. Believe me I've changed enough diapers lol

NO it definately isn't digestible.* no matter how much you 'chew up the pieces of corn.....it always comes out whole'........go figure??*

If its not digestable then how come when people who eat corn, and then poo, you could see corn in the poo..........

well it comes out in the same form it goes in, shouldn't that answer your question?

of course it's digestible, if it weren't pigs wouldn't get fat on it. What we use we use and what we don't we pass. Look at the can, if there is a calorie content, that means there is something that we use.

Corn is semi-digestible the way most people eat it, (the kernels), however you still get some vitamins. The main benefit is that the kernels act as bowel cleaners. Kind of like an edible scouring pad (highly beneficial for healthy digestion). Ground corn for breads and cream corn soups are totally benefical as well. I highly recommend corn in your diet.

Yes, it's digestible....something like 92% or whatever.

It's colorful too.....heh heh

(Thank God tomatoes and red peppers are digestible, otherwise the ERs would be busy with overly anxious people).
